E-Learning - Early to Mid Stage Alzheimer's

Caring for a family member with Alzheimer's Disease can be very challenging, not only because the disease limits ability to communicate or understand, but also because of grieving the loss of the person you once knew.

People with Alzheimer's have no control over what is happening to them. They are not able to change their behavior. It is up to you and other family members to change and adapt.

This program will help you understand how to relate and communicate in new ways in order to create a higher quality of life for the person with Alzheimer's and yourself. Learn about effective responses to repetitive questions and aggressive behavior, use of language and other forms of communication. Interviews with experts provide additional information about the disease and how to interact effectively.

Topics covered include:

•    Repetitive questions
•    Doing chores
•    Aggressive behavior
•    Answering difficult questions
•    Use of language
•    Other forms of communication

I have both of the Alzheimer's DVD's and I wanted to comment on both of them....they are nothing short of great. This program Early to Mid Alzheimer's and Dementia is perfect for families. It explains the disease in a easy to understand format. Very well done. Thanks Maria Gaulbeaski
