- Recognize the scope of an employee’s right to privacy in the workplace
- Identify an employee’s right to a safe workplace and an employer’s responsibilities under the Occupational Safety and Health Administration
- Discuss the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and an employee’s right to be free of discrimination in the workplace
- Identify federal laws regulating wages, hours, health care, leave, labor relations, and other labor topics
- Recognize the role of human resources in protecting employers during the process of employee termination
